Have just recorded a spoken word collection with Rob at Wild Way Recording and am beyond excited! Rob is patient, encouraging and ultra professional. It was so much more than just ‘recording’ words, I have really deepened my understanding of spoken word delivery. What a warm, inviting environment in a gorgeous natural setting. Highly recommend to spoken word, singers and musicians!

What makes Rob such a pleasure to work with, is not just his engineering and production talents, it’s that being a musician very much in his own right allows him to draw performances from people from the most unexpected places. His empathy to others music often allows him to suggest an approach that may not have initially been obvious. This often makes the recording process, which otherwise can be tedious, feel vital and immediate.

I telephoned Wildway looking to get a feature movie tweaked and mastered. Sound is so important in a movie; 90% of a movie is sound, like, if you can “hear” the sound you need to go back and work on it again to get it just perfect, get it to flow, naturally, so it’s not even noticeable and it compliments the escapism effortlessly. Except to achieve this requires huge effort! Rob at Wildway put his shoulder to the wheel and delivered on that effort, he delivered on communication, he delivered on deadlines, he delivered on zero procrastination, he delivered on budget, he delivered on suggestions, collaborations, creativity, and he delivered on can do for all aspects of sound on my movie. I’m immensely happy with the movie, and an enormous part of that happiness is due to the work that Rob and Wildway put in for me. Thanks Rob! See you on the big screen!

Rob and I have worked on various projects throughout our twenty-year friendship. Rob is a muse. He has a finely tuned ear for a song and the realisation of its potential. He listens to what the writer wants a song to be while also offering ideas on things he hears within the song, and always for the better of the song. I have found that one of Rob’s greatest assets is his ability to get a performance from the performer at key moments. This, I can only guess, is due to how professional and relaxed he makes the working environment. I look forward to further collaborations in the future and recommend him with the highest of regard. A song can be a strange creature that often requires someone to demystify it but also capture what magic may be in it, the essence of it. Rob Wedgbury is that guy.

Rob understood the moods I felt and the moods I wanted to portray so much so that it felt like reading my mind. Very approachable, very professional and I look forward to working with him again some day
